Content-only Unreal Engine 5.8 project — no C++ modules, no Blueprints, no plugin dependencies and no third-party content. Opening SteppePineTree.uproject loads the overview map automatically.

One Static Mesh (SM_SteppePine) with a 3-level LOD chain built in: LOD0 20,000 tris, LOD1 12,000 tris, LOD2 a 2-triangle billboard. Screen sizes are set manually (1.0 / 0.217 / 0.072), not auto-computed. Simple capsule collision on the trunk (radius 40 uu, height 280 uu), offset to follow the trunk axis rather than the pivot.

Materials: a master material with three texture parameters (Base Color, Normal, ORM) plus two instances for LOD0/LOD1, and a separate Masked Unlit material for the billboard. Normal maps have Flip Green Channel enabled, since they were authored in Blender with the OpenGL convention.

Lightmap UVs are generated on all three LODs (source 0, destination 1, default resolution 64), so the mesh works with baked static lighting as well as Lumen.

Note: the billboard LOD has a fixed orientation and does not rotate to face the camera. No World Position Offset billboarding is included. A small number of degenerate UV triangles exist (8 of 20,000 in LOD0, 7 of 12,000 in LOD1, covering 0.003% and 0.015% of surface area) which makes Unreal report near-zero tangents on those faces; the visual impact is negligible.
